Winemaker René Eichmann crafts his wine using a mixture of French and American oak barrels for Bridgeview's award-winning chardonnay, pinot noir, and merlot. Other wines are fermented and stored in jacketed, cooled stainless tanks, which range in size from 2,000 to 20,000 gallons. This allows Bridgeview to keep a fresh, fruity quality to the wines, and enables the refreshing acidity that one finds in wines from Southern Oregon.

Almost all of the grapes for Bridgeview wines are grown in the 85-acre estate vineyards in the Illinois Valley and the 80-acre vineyard located in the Applegate Valley. The rocky soils of the vineyards lend distinctively delicious aromas and flavors to the grapes. Meticulous attention to pruning insures that each vine produces fewer grapes with correspondingly greater varietal character. Every aspect of the vineyard operation, in fact, is carefully managed from planting to harvest to encourage flavor intensity.
