Expect dancing. Michael Franti and Spearhead are back at Britt to open this summer’s slate of concerts at 8 p.m. Friday, June 8.
Franti’s socially conscious mix of hip-hop, funk, reggae, folk, and rock has proven popular with two previous appearances on the Britt hillside and some at other Rogue Valley venues, including the Historic Ashland Armory and Jackson Wellsprings. Promoters know his music will move people, so there’s no blanket seating in front of the stage to make way for dancing.
The Oregon Climate Service reports that the average high temperature for June 8 is about 77 degrees. Over the past nearly 80 years, not much rain typically falls on this day, but the service sets the probability of rain on this date at 24.4 percent.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for high temperatures approaching 70 today and lows in the 40s. Expect clouds and light winds. Better take a sweater. Check out the forecast here.
The show is sold out.
