The members of Siskiyou Summit host a bluegrass jam at Caldera Tap House.

Members of local bluegrass band Siskiyou Summit gather to jam with other bluegrass musicians at 7 p.m., at Caldera Tap House, 31 Water St., Ashland.

The six-piece ensemble, known throughout the Northwest for it's hot picking and bluegrass chops, is made up of professional musicians: Jeff Jones on mandolin, Crystal Reeves on fiddle, Bob Evoniuk on Dobro, Glenn Freese on guitar, Sam Cuenca on bass and Rick Nelson on banjo. Members credit their success to open jams like the one they host monthly at Caldera, where other musicians can come to learn songs and techniques all while having a boot-stomping good time.

There is no cost to attend.
