Margaret Maxine Bush, 93, of Medford, Ore. passed away at her home Monday, November 26, 2012. She was born June 19, 1919, in Philomath, Ore. to Leonard and Helene Hunt. She married Robert Edmund Bush August 14, 1938, in Corvallis, Ore. Margaret traveled extensively during her husband's 27 year military career and lived in Honolulu, Hawaii, San Francisco, Calif., Oak Harbor, Wash., Yokosuka, Japan, Washington D.C. and Monterey, Calif.
Margaret volunteered as a nurse and librarian and also worked as a dental assistant and dental receptionist. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and bridge and loved to entertain family and friends. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Commander Robert E. Bush. Robert retired from the U.S. Navy and worked for the McGraw Hill Publishing Company in Monterey, Calif. before he and Margaret moved to Medford in 1991.
Margaret is survived by her three sons, Robert Bush Jr., of Hillsboro, Ore., Patrick Bush, of Eagle Point,Ore., and Steven Bush, of Santa Rosa, Calif. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Robert Bush and Amanda Kopra; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services and a reception will be held at 9:00 a.m. Monday December 3, 2012, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 426 W. 6th St., Medford, with interment to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
