Pre-wrapped shoeboxes (lid and box wrapped separately) of gift items for the ACCESS Senior Shoebox program are needed by Monday, Dec. 3. ACCESS could also use help delivering the boxes the week of Dec. 10.
The ACCESS Senior Shoebox program collects and delivers wrapped shoeboxes of simple gifts for seniors, people with disabilities, and shut-ins.
Suggested items for the shoeboxes include pocket calendar, address book, post-it notes, flashlights, sewing kit, neck pillow, jar grippers, alarm clock, small stuffed animal, card games, crossword puzzle, toiletries or other inexpensive gifts. For a sample list of needed items, visit www.accesshelps.org and click on the "Senior Shoebox" button.
Shoeboxes should be dropped off at ACCESS, 3630 Aviation Way, Medford.
