Kenneth Paul Braunbeck, 42, of Medford, Ore. passed away Friday, November 23, 2012. He was born December 1, 1969 in Bellflower, Calif., to Richard and Charleen Braunbeck. He moved to Ashland, Ore. with his family in 1975.

Kenny was a beautiful spirit and a picture of Jesus's unconditional love. Brain-damaged as an infant, Kenny remained a sweet and loving child his whole life. Always quick to smile and laugh, grab your hand and not let go, and greet you with a boisterous Hello, Kenny brought joy to all who knew him.

Kenny attended Ashland High School in the STEPS program and later worked for many years at Hollyhock Nursery in Ashland. Growing up on the family farm, he enjoyed gathering eggs, feeding the animals, and watering the plants. He later moved to Living Opportunities group homes in Central Point and in Medford where he made many friends.

Kenny's favorite things in life were: his mom, ice cream, fishing, going to church, listening to music and singing songs about Jesus, opening presents, writing numbers and counting, puzzles, Scooby Doo and Bugs Bunny, and watching game shows. Kenny also loved to be the center of attention and to pester his big sisters.

He is survived by: sister Renee (Mark) Price of Lakeview, Ore.; sister Denise (Frank) Baratta of Talent, Ore.; nieces Brittney (Kevin) Waugh and Sierra (Stephen) Griffin, all of Portland, Ore.; niece Aurora Price of Lakeview, Ore. and niece McKenzie Baratta of Talent, Ore. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 10, 2012, at Scenic Hills Memorial Park, 2585 East Hills Drive, in Ashland, Ore. Pastor Mark Anderson of Ashland Christian Fellowship will officiate. Please feel free to share a special memory or Bible verse.
