Local music

A few local musicians can provide the holidays' soundtrack.

Jazz vocalist Leslie Kendall has a CD, titled "When I Think of Christmas," that features guitarist Ed Dunsavage. The album will be for sale for $10 at the annual Jazzy Christmas Concert at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at Paschal Winery & Vineyard or by emailing Kendall at l.kendall1950@gmail.com.

Bluegrass group Eight Dollar Mountain has a holiday gift pack that — although not holiday-themed — includes two locally produced CDs autographed by the band, stickers and a Christmas card designed by artist Karen Cannon, all gift-wrapped by local artist Andrea Johnson. The gift pack costs $40; order before Dec. 14, and shipping is free with guaranteed delivery before Christmas. See www.eightdollarmountain.net/holiday-pack.

Ashland-based guitarist Jeff Pevar, who has performed with musicians ranging from Ray Charles to Jefferson Starship, is releasing a CD, titled "From the Core." The 12 acoustic tracks were recorded inside the Oregon Caves during filming of a PBS documentary. Among them is a collaborative song with vocals and lyrics by Jon Anderson (the iconic lead voice from the band Yes). Signed copies of the CD are available for $20, including shipping and handling.
