Louie Wayne Fair, 72, of Medford, Ore., passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at his home. He was born December 7, 1940, in Vinita, Okla. to Louie Austin and Velma Eveline (Beck) Fair. He graduated Sedro-Wooley High School in 1959. He then completed his accounting degree at Platt College of Commerce in St. Joseph, Mo. in 1961.

Wayne worked locally for Farm Direct Feed and Supply in Central Point from 1975-1985, and as controller for SOS (Southern Oregon Sales) from 1986-1993.

He had lived and worked in Washington; Medford; Pendleton, Ore.; and Vinita, Okla. before coming back to Medford. Wayne's friends and family knew him as a generous man who enjoyed traveling and music. He was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church in Central Point and attained the level of 4th degree in the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by a niece; nephews; and numerous cousins. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Lucille Olsen, of Central Point, Ore., and Thelma Swartos, of Blaine, Wash.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church with Fr. Jim Clifford officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
