  • Snow did fall in several spots around the Rogue Valley Wednesday night, but not much.
"It wasn't a lot, just a bunch of showers," said National Weather Service data acquisition program manager Chuck Glaser. "Right here where we're at, we've really got nothing on the ground."
About 3/10 of an inch was reported in Medford, with about half an inch of snowfall reported in Ashland.
The snow report from the Butte Falls area isn't in yet, but it was enough to prompt a two-hour delay for the Butte Falls School District today. All other districts will run on schedule.
Higher elevations did see some significant accumulation. Howard Prairie received seven inches of new snow overnight, NWS officials reported. Mt. Ashland has received five inches of new snow in the last 24 hours.
Additional showers are expected in the region today.
"(We're) really not expecting anything significant at all," Glaser said.
