About White City

White City grew out of the World War II Army training camp known as Camp White. A group of lumber mill owners bought a large portion of the camp�s land after the war to establish an industrial park. The old Army camp�s hospital remains and is now known as the Veterans Affairs� Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinic. The unincorporated township is still an industrial center and the county�s most populous area outside a city. An urban renewal district and a law enforcement district serve the area.
