A costume contest for dogs, cats and numerous other kinds of pets will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the White City Big R, 7303 Crater Lake Highway.The event is free to attend and is open to anyone.Pets will be judged in five separate classes: under 20 pounds; 20 to 70 pounds; over 70 pounds; non-cat or dog; and best overall costume. Pets will receive free treats for entering. Big R will donate $1 to the Southern Oregon Humane Society for each entry.
