Ad Requirements

All ads require a high resolution "contract quality" proof. One digital color proof is required for 4-color ads. We are not responsible for color inconsistency if a digital color proof is not provided or ad materials arrive after copy close deadlines.

Publisher reserves the right to decline, edit or redesign ads considered to be inappropriate or undesirable, and may choose to run the most recent ad approved. If a prior ad is not available, the advertiser will be charged for the reserved space. "Advertisement" will be placed on ad materials that, in the publisher's opinion, resemble editorial content. A $150 rush charge will be included for late files or files requiring alterations to meet advertising standards.

Electronic files only — press-ready PDF must be saved using Acrobat Distiller, CMYK, all layers flattened, and all fonts embedded or outlined. When saving postscript files out of Quark 6, set trapping preferences to absolute. No other applications or film is accepted.

All graphics must be at least 300 dpi at 100% in the document. Only CMYK process colors are to be used. RGB files are not accepted. Compressed images such as JPEG or LZW are not accepted. PDF files with spot color graphics or compressed files embedded may have unsatisfactory results when printed. Fonts must be embedded; both printer & screen fonts must be included.

File sizes 5+ MB must use our FTP site. Please call (541) 776-4430 for details.

Files 5 MB or less can be emailed directly to: ads@distinctlynorthwest.com.
