  JACKSON - Bats can be seen foraging for insects from dusk to well after dark. Look off toward the lighted horizon to see their erratic and uneven flight.

  JACKSON - Bear season opened Aug. 1 and hunters have found good early success, thanks largely to a good bear population here. In hot weather, bears are favoring cooler and wetter drainages.
