- Head down to the Jackson County Democratic Party headquarters, 40 S. Central Ave., at an eye-propping 7 a.m. to watch inaugural festivities on the tube and share a free continental breakfast and later appetizers provided by area restaurants. Obama is scheduled to be sworn in at 9 a.m., and former radio-show host Jeff Golden is scheduled to speak to those gathered at Democratic headquarters at noon. Details: 858-1050 or jcdemocrats.org.
- In Ashland, a gathering is set from 8 to 10 a.m. in the Gresham Room of the Ashland Branch Library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd. Participants will watch the ceremony on television and drink free coffee and tea provided by Friends of the Ashland Library.
- In Talent, a celebration of Obama’s Inauguration is set from 6 to 9 p.m. at Downtowne Coffee House, 200 Talent Ave. Admission is free, and Zion Train is scheduled to play.
- In Ashland, singer-songwriter Anne Feeney will perform in celebration of Obama’s inauguration at 7 p.m. at the Siskiyou Pub, 31B Water St. There’s no cover charge for the show, sponsored by the Southern Oregon Central Labor Council and Jobs for Justice.
