Felony arrests

Drugs - Jose Sanchez-Sanchez, 21, of the 2600 block of Coker Butte Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Sanchez-Sanchez early Wednesday and charged him with possession of amphetamine and being in the country illegally. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail.

Fugitive - Margaret Cynthia Johnson, 35, no permanent address. Oregon State Police arrested Johnson Wednesday after discovering she was a fugitive from Washington wanted on bad-check charges. She was jailed without bail.

Fugitive - Michael Dean Boley, 20, of Kellogg, Idaho. Central Point police arrested Boley on Oct. 13 and charged him with unauthorized use of a vehicle. Jackson County sheriff's deputies discovered Wednesday he was a fugitive from Idaho wanted on theft-related charges. He was jailed without bail.

Criminal mischief - Tracy James Binau, 29, of the 5000 block of Benson Street, Medford. Binau appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court Wednesday on an indictment charging him with first-degree criminal mischief. He was booked in jail and released.

Drugs - William Lavon Atchley, 44, of the 10 block of Dewey Street, Ashland. Atchley appeared in circuit court Wednesday on an indictment charging him with possession and manufacture of marijuana. He was booked in jail and released.

Drugs - Brandy Nichole Busch, 18, of the 600 block of West Fourth Street, Medford. Busch appeared in circuit court Wednesday on an indictment charging her with possession of amphetamine. She was booked in jail and released.

Attempting to elude police - Michael Albert Stahl, 26, of the 2600 block of Kirtland Road, Central Point. Stahl appeared in circuit court Wednesday on an indictment charging him with attempting to elude police in a vehicle and on foot. He was booked in jail and released.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle - Sonya Annette Stanley, 22, of the 4900 block of Weyerhauser Road, Klamath Falls. Stanley appeared in court Wednesday on an indictment charging her with unauthorized use of a vehicle, hit and run and second-degree criminal mischief. She was booked in jail and released.

Theft - Brandon Scott Sofge, 24, of the 1100 block of Woodrow Lane, Medford. Sofge appeared in circuit court Wednesday on an indictment charging him with aggravated first-degree theft. He was booked in jail and released.

Crime reports

Theft - A resident of the 3600 block of Rogue River Highway, Grants Pass, reported stolen a guitar with an estimated value of $5,000 to sheriff's deputies Tuesday.

Theft - The Bureau of Land Management reported stolen a surveillance camera with an estimated value of $3,500 to sheriff's deputies Wednesday.

Fire Calls

Structure fire - A fire at the 2000 block of Talent Avenue, Talent, caused an estimated $10,000 in damage to a carport. Ashes removed from a wood stove and placed in a cardboard box in the carport apparently caused the fire, a Jackson County Fire District 5 spokeswoman said. The home was not damaged and no one was injured.
