Felony arrests
Drugs Timothy Ryan Sivo, 21, no known address. An Oregon State Police trooper Thursday arrested Sivo on charges of giving false information to police about a vehicle and
possession of methamphetamine. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Thursday on $25,000 bail.
Tampering Wendy Lynn Carter, 25, of the 4000 block of Camino Viejo Road, Medford. Carter appeared Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with
two counts of tampering with drug records and two counts of obtaining a controlled substance unlawfully. She was booked into jail and released on her own recognizance.
Theft Dean Michael Smith, 41, of the 4700 block of Waldo Road, Cave Junction. Smith appeared Thursday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with second-degree theft.
He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance.
Drugs Cesar Reyes-Perez, 23, of Vancouver, Wash. A Central Point police officer Thursday arrested Perez on charges of possession of marijuana, delivery of marijuana,
manufacturing marijuana and being an illegal alien. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Thursday on $125,000 bail.
Drugs Jose Perez-Cuevas, 21, of Vancouver, Wash. A Central Point police officer Thursday arrested Perez-Cuevas on charges of possession of marijuana, delivery of marijuana,
manufacturing marijuana and being an illegal alien. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Thursday on $125,000 bail.
Assault Julio Cesar Lopez-Feliciano, 29, of the 300 block of Laurel Street, Medford. A Medford police officer Thursday arrested Lopez-Feliciano on charges of fourth-degree
assault and being an illegal alien. He was lodged in jail without bail.
Drugs Donna Victoria Lingren, 44, no known address. A Jackson County sheriffs deputy Thursday arrested Lingren on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. She was
lodged in jail, where she remained late Thursday on $5,000 bail.
Drugs Michael Alan Edward Ogorman, 25, of the 1000 block of Eureka Street, Ashland. A Drug Enforcement Agent Thursday arrested Ogorman on charges of possession of
methamphetamine, delivery of methamphetamine and endangering a minor. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Thursday on $19,000 bail.
Crime reports
Theft 100 block of Hilt Lane, White City. A sheriffs deputy Thursday took a report in which items valued at $4,770 were stolen from a vehicle.
Fire calls
Helicopter crash Ashland Fire and Rescue crews Thursday responded to a helicopter crash on the main runway of the Ashland Airport, officials said. No one was injured in the
crash, which occurred at around 5:50 p.m. For unknown reasons the helicopter turned onto its side as it attempted to land. The rotors were torn off and the craft was leaking fuel after the crash.
The airport was closed for two hours while crews moved the craft off the runway and cleaned up wreckage, officials said. Ashland Fire and Rescue dispatched one engine and one ambulance to the
scene.
Apartment fire Jackson County Fire District 3 responded Thursday to a second-floor apartment fire in the 100 block of South Haskell Street. The fire occurred around 8 p.m. and
was extinguished in under five minutes, officials said. The cause of the fire was a Pop-Tart still in the wrapper that was put in a toaster, officials said. All of the residents evacuated as the
apartment filled with smoke. The damage was confined to a kitchen wall, officials said.
