| Duste reels in SOS fieldWHITE CITY -- Dave Duste Sr. took the checkered flag Saturday night
in the 25th lap of the Winged Modified main event at the Southern Oregon Speedway.
Duste started the race in the 12th position out of a 19-car field, but worked his way up to second by the 11th lap before overtaking Mike Caplinger for the lead in the 14th. Caplinger finished the race third behind second place winner Rob Gavin. In the pro stock division, Brian Poppa came home with the victory. Poppa started sixth and briefly took the lead in the first lap before being put back into second after a seven-car collision that brought out the red flag. Jerry Auplund and Mike Chastain were declared co-winners in the mini-stock division due to confusion with the drivers' line-up. Management awarded equal points to both drivers.
