Interstate 5 Exit 27 south Medford interchange: Through May 31, paving and roadwork will begin to upgrade Greenwood Street and portions of Ellendale Drive. This is detour preparation work for the June 4 to Sept. 4 closure of Highland Drive between Greenwood Street and Barnett Road. During those three months, the contractor will replace the bridge over Lazy Creek and upgrade Highland Drive. During this construction, Highland Drive will remain open for local access to nearby apartments. Utility work continues on the east side of Highway 99 between Charlotte Ann Drive and Stewart Avenue. Watch for northbound, slow lane closure. The speed limit is lowered to 35 mph for the duration of project. Watch for equipment and trucks working near the work zone. I-5 Exit 30 north Medford interchange: Incidental finish work, such as landscaping, is expected throughout the project area. I-5 Exit 35 Seven Oaks interchange and railroad bridges: The interstate speed limit in the project area is lowered to 55 mph and the speed limit on Blackwell Road is lowered to 35 mph. Watch for trucks entering and leaving the work area both northbound and southbound on I-5. Traffic control will be in place on Highway 99 and Blackwell Road. Watch for minor delays on these roadways and be alert for construction equipment movement and construction personnel in this area. Highway 62 between Eagle Point and Shady Cove: Drivers should expect intermittent lane and shoulder closures for utility work. Expect delays of up to 10 minutes. Watch for flaggers and construction equipment. Hillcrest Road and Valley View Road intersection in Medford: There will be daily lane closures on Hillcrest Road at the Valley View intersection from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
