Assault — Dylan Todman Pennington, 25, of the 600 block of Black Oak Drive, Medford. Medford police Sunday arrested Pennington on charges of third-degree assault, felony fourth-degree assault, misdemeanor fourth-degree assault and harassment. He was lodged Sunday in the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday in lieu of $25,000 bail. Assault — Dani David Rodas-Yol, 35, of the 5200 block of Antelope Road, White City. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Monday arrested Rodas-Yol on one count each of felony fourth-degree assault and misdemeanor fourth-degree assault and two counts of harassment. He was lodged Monday in the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday without bail pending a review of his immigration status. Drugs — Scott Dee Jensen, 46, no address available. Jensen made his initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on two counts of possession of methamphetamine and two charges of allegedly violating his probation from a previous drug conviction. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday in lieu of $8,000 bail. Vehicle theft — Brandy Racheal Shamblin-Vasquez, 19, of the 800 block of Niantic Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Shamblin-Vasquez late Saturday on charges of two counts of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, first-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where she remained late Sunday in lieu of $23,000 bail. Vehicle theft — Nathan Michael Vobora, 24, of the 1700 block of Hybiscus Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Vobora early Sunday on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Sunday in lieu of $5,000 bail. Theft — Duanne Allyn Weakley, 18, of the 100 block of North Ninth Street, Central Point. Central Point police arrested Weakley Sunday on charges of first-degree theft, conspiracy to commit first-degree theft and felony possession of a weapon. He was lodged in Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Sunday in lieu of $15,000 bail. Burglary — Edward Lee Welcher, 26, of the 300 block of North Holly Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Welcher Sunday on charges of first-degree burglary and first-degree theft. He was lodged in Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Sunday in lieu of $30,000 bail.

Vehicle theft — 400 block of Edwards Street, Medford. Medford police took a report at 7:09 a.m. of the theft of a gray 1993 Ford F-150 pickup with Oregon license XHS-328. The truck was valued at $3,400. Theft — 1400 block of Village Center, Medford. Medford police took a report at 10:43 a.m. of the theft of a burgundy colored golf cart valued at $6,500. Vehicle theft — 1300 block of Beekman Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report at 2:21 p.m. of the theft of a 1991 GMC Jimmy with Oregon license 140-DDK. The SUV was valued at $3,500.

Fire calls

Bus fire — West Main Street and Lozier Lane, Medford. Mechanical problems sparked a fire in the engine compartment of a Rogue Valley Transportation District bus that had no passengers onboard. The bus driver extinguished the flames by the time the Medford Fire Department arrived, but firefighters helped move the bus out of the travel lanes of Main Street and clean up leaking fluids from the bus.
