Adell Ruth Dean

October 30, 1935- May 17, 2007

Adell Ruth Dean was that brief ray of shimmering sunlight that blessed our lives and it has left us. It escaped silently and alone into the night; free to soar where it might no longer be encumbered by physical fragilities. It was then I felt my profound sense of loss. I began to perceive what no longer filled the room. That beloved, marvelous, irreplaceable spirit that had illuminated my life for 52 years.

My light of the world will be a little dimmer without her presence beside me; however, her work and example will continue to blossom.

Adell was a beautiful mother to our son, Bruce David Dean, our daughter, Cynthia L. Dean, and Adell was wife to Norman R. Dean. She was grandmother to James G. Rivera, Norman M. Dean, Joshua Rivera, Jason Dean, Jackie Dean, Elizabeth Dean, and David Dean, and great-grandmother to Benjamin and Logan Rivera.

Adell was a member of the LDS church, where she taught children's Sunday school for ten years. She was a member of White Shrine, Eastern Star and Daughter of the Nile. She was active in the Boy Scout program, where she taught first aid, and was a merit badge counselor. Adell had also been a certified lifeguard.

Adell fought the good fight but was finally overwhelmed by cancer after seven years of being cancer free. She will be missed by more than the words spoken here. She was a child of God. Memorial services will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday, May 26, 2007 at the LDS Church, 2305 Taylor Rd., in Central Point, Ore.
