Robert E. Lee



Robert E. Lee (Bob), age 82, died on April 26, 2007 in St. Paul, Nebr. Bob was born in April 14, 1925 in Burbank, Calif to Henery J. and LIllian Lee. He was preceded in death by Dolores, his wife of 59 years; his daughter, Sharron Luther; and two brothers. He is survived by his granddaughter, De Anna Luther of Medford, Ore.; a sister, Audrey of Calif.; a nephew, Steve Lorino of Ashland, Ore.; and sister-in-laws, Geri Hardy, of Keizer, Ore., Irene Orr of Gold Beach, Ore., Catherine Tuey of Fort Jones, Calif.; many nieces and nephews; and his companion, Dora Johnson of St. Paul, Nebr.



Bob served in the U.S. Navy during WWII aboard an aircraft carrier in the South Pacific. He married Dolores Lutsey on June 5, 1943. After his discharge from the Navy they lived in San Fernando, Calif. and he resumed his job at Pacific Airamotive Corp. Later he took a management job with Arrow Jet General. In 1966, the family moved to Ashland, Ore. to be closer to Dee's sister and brother-in-law, Warren and Geri Hardy. Bob and Warren operated the two Shell stations in Ashland. Later Bob started Diamond Bright Cleaning Service. Bob enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and reading. Bob was cremated in St. Paul, Nebr. There will be a service in Oregon at a later date.
