Howard F. Patterson



Howard F. "Pete" Patterson. 82, of Central Point, died Sunday, May 27, 2007 at his home.



Pete was born on February 28, 1925 at Woodworth, North Dakota. He moved to Bemidji, Minnesota where he enlisted in the U.S. Navy on September 18, 1943. He served our country during World War II and was honorably discharged on January 13, 1946. He then moved to the Rogue Valley and later married Virginia Greenwood on January 14, 1954.



Pete worked as a millworker for several mills and retired from Boise Cascade after 36 years. He will always be remembered for his laughter.



Pete was a member of the Hope Christian Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.



He is survived by his wife, Virginia, sons, Forrest and Steven and a grandson, Eric Patterson.



Interment services will be held on Friday June 1, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2007 at Hope Christian Church, 325 Oak St., Central Point, Ore.
