Alice J. French



Alice J. French, "Casebier," 80, of Eagle Point, passed away June 13, 2007, in the home of her daughter in Anchorage, Alaska.



Born March 13, 1927 in Klamath Falls, Ore., she was preceded in death by her late husband, Norman French of Medford, her brother, Fred Trewartha, and her sister, Erman Knudson of Eagle Point.



She is survived by her daughter, Wanda La Casse of Anchorage, Alaska and her son, Duane Windham, of Myrtle Creek, Ore., six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.



Alice was a longtime resident of Eagle Point. Her favorite pasttimes included bowling, flyfishing, and her flower garden. She had been previously employed by the old "Cubby's Drive In," by Andy at Medford Lanes and "Don's Hideaway." She had numerous friends in the area, with Betty Glass and Dottie Villa "Ellenberger" being two of her closest.



Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Witzleben funeral home. Her remains will be returned to Oregon, and as per Alice's request there will be no memorial service.
