There's nothing like a good dose of laughter to rid one of the workingman's (or woman's) blues.

There's nothing like a good dose of laughter to rid one of the workingman's (or woman's) blues.

Neil Edwards and Lynn Epstein will hand out the humor at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 22-23, at Chadwick's Pub in the Rogue Regency Inn, 2300 Biddle Road, Medford.

Edwards is a native of Alabama who first hit the stage in Albuquerque, N.M., and worked his way towards Los Angeles. Once there, he made a number of appearances on "The Dennis Miller Show," "An Evening at the Improv," "Caroline's Comedy Hour" and various shows Comedy Central. Edwards also performed at the Montreal International Comedy Festival, "Just For Laughs." Later, he began writing comedy for shows such as "Politically Incorrect" with Bill Maher and "That '70s Show."

Epstein is based in Laguna Beach, Calif., and she was a finalist at two of the Orange County's Funniest Person Contests. Epstein is a regular on the Women Who Kick Comedy Butt Tour, and she has appeared at the Improv in Hollywood, the Stand Up New York Comedy Club, the Boston Comedy Festival and Las Vegas Comedy Festival.

Barry Koltnow of the Orange County Register wrote that Epstein "is most impressive and one of my favorite comics." Epstein also is the author of a humorous book, "Why Is It?! Life's Little Mysteries."

In addition to performing, Epstein books and hosts comedy shows for clubs, nonprofit organizations, corporations and private parties.

If that isn't enough, Epstein continues her practice as a pediatric speech and language pathologist teaching children how to speak, eat, think and play. For more about Epstein, see lynnepstein.com on the Web.
