Donald J. Richey



Donald J. Richey, 90, passed away in Eagle, Idaho on May 23, 2007. Donald was born in Sunnyside, Washington on May 6, 1917. He then moved with his family to Phoenix, Oregon.



Donald worked as a heavy equipment operator for over 50 years and a long haul trucker when he retired. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and having friends and family over to play cards. He served in the Navy during WWII as an armed guard on Merchant Marine Ships.



Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Audrey; his brothers, Rueben and Homer of Phoenix, Oregon; a sister, Georgia Smith, of Phoenix, Oregon; a daughter, Jackie Conner, of Seattle, Washington; and a stepdaughter, Sandi Girard, of Brookings, Oregon.



He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary of Eagle, Idaho; a son, Jim, of Bonney Lake, Washington; a daughter, Virginia Bedingfield, of White City, Oregon; a sister, Ethel Yost, of Medford, Oregon; a brother, Frank Richey, of Centeral Point, Oregon; a stepdaughter, Sherry Hoff, of Eagle, Idaho; 15 grandchildren,; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.



He was loved by all and will be missed.
