A driver was in serious condition late Sunday after losing control of his motorcycle in a patch of gravel on the edge of Butte Falls-Prospect Highway about nearly 6 miles north of Fish Lake Road, said Butte Falls Fire Chief Jeff Gorman.

Paul Barbee, part of a motorcade of seven, crashed his motorcycle at about 2:15 p.m. Sunday.

Mercy Flights transported Barbee to Providence Medford Medical Center, where he remained late Sunday.

Felony arrests

Burglary, strangulation — Daniel Guy Farnsworth, 52, of the 700 block of Humbug Creek Road, Applegate. A Jackson County sheriff's deputy Wednesday arrested Farnsworth on charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree trespassing, fourth-degree assault, harassment, second-degree criminal mischief, strangulation and menacing. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail and released after posting bail. Warrant — Charles Paul Kwiatkowski, 25, of the first block of Morton Street, Ashland. Ashland police Wednesday arrested Kwiatkowski on warrants charging him with two counts of first-degree theft. He was lodged in jail without bail. Drugs — William Ray Vanmeter, 44, of the 3300 block of South Pacific Highway, Medford. Vanmeter appeared Wednesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with possession of synthetic drugs, driving under the influence of alcohol and carrying a concealed weapon. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Assault — Ezequiel Ayala Enriquez, 34, of the 3300 block of S. Pacific Highway, Medford. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Enriquez late Saturday on charges of three counts of fourth-degree felony assault, three counts of harassment and being an illegal alien. He was lodged in county jail, where he remained late Sunday without bail. Failure to register as sex offender — Ronald Allen Sohnrey, 27, of the 400 block N. Ivy St., Medford. Medford police arrested Sohnrey late Saturday on a charge of felony failure to register as a sex offender. He was lodged in Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Sunday in lieu of $5,000 bail.
