Charles Dudley Mason



Charles Dudley Mason, age 84, of Cave Junction, passed away at his home on June 26, 2007.



Charles was born in August of 1922 in Milan, Missouri. He married Phyllis M. Todd in Vista, Calif. They moved to Medford from Vista, Calif., in 1964. Charles served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and retired after 26 years. Charles and Phyllis owned Mason's Sporting Goods. His hobbies included, fishing, hunting, rod building, and wood cutting. He also belonged to Medford's First Church of the Nazarene. In 2001 he moved to Gold Hill, then in 2004 he moved to Cave Junction.



Survivors include his son, Bruce Mason, Ronnie Mason; daughters, LaWren Dole, Sherri Peterson; sisters, Hildreth Hockholter, of Wash; and Bob Mason of Calif.; ten grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis, and son, Todd Mason.



A viewing will be held on July 2, 2007 from 1:00 - 5:00 at Conger Morris, 715 West Main St., Medford.
