Itís the Rooster Crow Festival with a parade and national championships for crowing roosters and humans.

The Rooster Crow Parade kicks off at 10 a.m. today, with more than 75 entries expected. The National Human Crow Competition takes place at 2 p.m., with the birds taking the spotlight at 2:30 p.m.

Craft and concession booths, a book sale, live music and a quilt show organized by Rogue Valley Piecemakers will be going on across downtown all day. All events are free.

Festivities continue with a car show from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday at Rogue River Elementary School, 300 Pine St.
