Big planes or little ones, that's the question this weekend.

The 18th annual Prospect Fly-In, when dozens of aircraft visit the small town, happens today and Sunday at the Prospect airport.

To the west, the annual Lake Selmac Float Fly, an event featuring model aircraft, happens at Lake Selmac outside of Selma.

The Prospect Fly-In, sponsored by the Prospect Unit of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team, features music, a flour-bombing event, raffles and several meals, including an afternoon hotdog lunch today, a 5:30 p.m. barbecue today and a 6 a.m. Sunday breakfast.

Meal tickets for all but the hot dog lunch are available for $25. Details: Jim DeVore at 560-1141.

The Lake Selmac Float Fly, which runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, features model aircraft operated by the Rogue Valley Flyers radio-controlled model aircraft club.

It’s free to spectators.
