Frank Villa of Medford took first place in singles at the 38th Oregon State Senior Mixed Tournament July 19-22 at Linn Lanes in Lebanon.

The 75-year-old rolled a three-game series of 150-200-183. His adjusted score with handicap was 743.

Villa and his wife, Dottie, previously won a state title in the mixed division in 2003.

Travis Hawthorne, who will be a sophomore at Eagle Point High, made a hole-in-one on the eighth hole at Antelope Hills Golf Club in Prescott, Ariz. The shot was made from 185 yards with a 4-iron.
