The Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater Box Office set a new record for sales as the ticket window flew open to the general public Tuesday.

More than 900 tickets sold during the six-hour period. Patrons began lining up shortly after 6 a.m. waiting for the box office to open at 10 a.m. The top-selling show Tuesday was "Pink Martini," which kicks off the Craterian's season on Sept. 8.

Ticket sales for members began June 5 and the top-selling show during that period was "The Producers," scheduled for Dec. 3. Online ticket sales begin Aug. 7 at www.craterian.org on the Web.

Tickets remain available for all shows, although premium seats for the season's musicals are sold out.

The Craterian box office is at 23 S. Central Ave., Medford, and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday on nonevent days; 10 a.m. to performance time Tuesday through Friday on event days; and noon to performance time on Saturday, Sunday and Monday event days.
