Power was restored to more than 2,100 Ruch and Applegate Valley customers at 4:10 p.m. after a failure in a Pacific Power transmission line halted their electricity service today.

For an unknown reason, two circuit breakers at Pacific Power's Ruch substation were tripped at 3:19 p.m., cutting service to the region, Pacific Power spokesman Monte Mendenhall says.

Crews inspected the transmission line but found no direct cause for the outage, Mendenhall says. Crews then flipped the breakers and restored electricity without incident at 4:10 p.m., Mendenhall says.
