Paul and Donna Ellis of Medford celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 4 with a buffet at the Rogue Regency Inn in Medford.

Paul and Donna Ellis of Medford celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 4 with a buffet at the Rogue Regency Inn in Medford.

Hosts of the event, with 75 guests attending, were their children, Debbie Arnold of Medford, Steve Ellis of North Pole, Alaska, and Jim Ellis of Lincoln City, Calif.

Paul Ellis married Donna Huff on June 30, 1957, in Arcata, Calif.

They lived in Arcata until Paul joined the Army in 1958. They moved to Germany in 1959 and returned to the United States in 1963.

Paul worked for Humboldt State College and later for the California Highway Patrol. They moved to Oregon in 1977, where Paul worked for Boise Cascade until he retired in 1996.

Donna worked for Batzer Construction in Oregon and then joined the staff at Rogue Valley Physician's Service, which later merged with Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon. She retired in 2000.

They enjoy camping and traveling with the friends they've made in the Siskiyou RV Club.

In addition to their children, they have four grandchildren.
