Ashland's Planning Commission continues a public hearing tonight on a housing development proposed where Ashland Greenhouses now stands.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in council chambers at the Civic Center, 1175 E. Main St. It's open to the public.

The housing development, known as Verde Village, was supported by a number of speakers at a hearing earlier this month, but Ashland planning staff have said the proposal deviates from land use code in several areas.

Planning commission members have voiced concern about the development's proximity to Ashland Creek.

The Planning Commission also plans a study session on wetlands rules at the meeting.
