"Bob"



Bob passed away Monday, August 27, 2007 at his home in Shady Cove, Ore. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, August 31st, at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Following the service will be a celebration of his life, held at his home in Shady Cove.



He was born in, March, 1922 to Henry and Minnie Krause in Green Bay, Wis. He married Shirley Crosby on, January 26, 1944. He was in the 96th Division during World War II, where he was awarded the Bronze Star for gallantry, the Purple Heart, and the Sharp Shooter Badge.



Bob Owned and operated several service stations in Ashland, Ore. He retired in 1980 and traveled extensively with his wife.



Survivors include his wife, Shirley, son, Douglas, of Modesto, Calif., daughters; Barbara Payne, of Dallas, Ore., Connie Ortwein, of Lakeview, Ore., granddaughters; Jennifer Brown, Nicole Krause, Katie Ortwein and Amy Ortwein, grandsons; Michael Payne, Tyler Payne, and Jessie Ortwein.
