Ida Pearl Hinks

Ida Pearl Hinks, 70, of Central Point, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2007. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 31, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., at the Conger~Morris Central Point Chapel. A family visitation will follow the service at the home of Beth Hale. Mrs. Hinks was born November 2, 1936, in Quemado, N.M., the daughter of the late Bryan James and Viola Francis Fathree. She was preceded in death by a son, Albert Lee Hinks; two brothers, David Fathree, and Francis (Hoss) Fathree; four sisters, Eva Simpson, Elsie Harvey, Lucy Ward, and Becky Wilson. Ida is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jim Hinks; daughters, Beth (Paul) Hale, Central Point, Lanette (Matthew) Drinkwine, Fort Valley, Ga.; grandchildren, Harley (Shawna) Frink, Laura Frink, both of Medford, and Alexandria Barr, Gabriel Drinkwine, both of Fort Valley, Ga.; great-granddaughter Treana Frink, Medford; and a brother, Jay Fathree of Pinetop, Ariz.

Ida enjoyed being a full-time RV'er for the past 12 years. She and her husband Jim had traveled to many places in the United States and Mexico. Ida never met a stranger. At any gathering she could always be found in the kitchen preparing one of her many specialty dishes. She was devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rogue Valley Hospice.
