ASHLAND — The Southern Oregon University volleyball team extended their home court winning streak to 11 matches with a 30-14, 30-17, 30-19 trouncing of William Jessup University on Thursday at McNeal Pavilion.

ASHLAND — The Southern Oregon University volleyball team extended their home court winning streak to 11 matches with a 30-14, 30-17, 30-19 trouncing of William Jessup University on Thursday at McNeal Pavilion.

The Raiders (9-4, 3-1) tallied 47 kills on the day, with 18 kills coming from junior middle blocker Mia Wortel.

Sharing setting duties, Ashland High graduates Molly Grossmann and Lindsey Stone had 18 and 16 sets, respectively, in helping the SOU offense.

Also aiding the Raiders, Richelle Millsap notched seven kills while Shanna Claflin tallied six. Millsap led the team in blocks with four and Claflin led a strong serving front by the Raiders with four aces of the 12 team aces.

Junior libero Emily Stone had nine digs and three service aces.

The Raiders totaled for 25 digs on the day, as well as 10 blocks and a solid .446 hitting percentage.

The Raiders will hit the road on Friday and Saturday to face Concordia and Corban College. Both games are slated for 7 p.m. starts.
