Printmakers Nancy Jo Mullen and Barbara Mason, watercolor artists Lane Hall and Marianne Kauffman and strolling musicians are just a few of the highlights of the Third Friday art walk to be held this weekend in downtown Medford.

Art galleries, shops and restaurants will stay open late for Third Friday on Sept. 21. Each monthly art walk brings new showcases of artwork by regional artists. Many of the artists demonstrate their work along the sidewalks of Bartlett and Main streets, Middleford Alley and Theater Alley. Maps highlighting the venues are available at any of the stops along the art walk.

Kauffman will be the featured artist at Art du Jour Gallery, 320 Middleford Alley. At the age of 86, the artist continues to capture her subjects with vivid shades of watercolors. Last year, she received an Award of Distinction from the Watercolor Society of Oregon for her painting "Essences of Iris II." Kauffman will be on hand to discuss her painting from 5 to 8 p.m. at the gallery.

Art du Jour Gallery artist Norm Rossignol will demonstrate "plein aire" painting in front of Medford Interiors, next door to the gallery. Jazz duo Dan Fellman and Steve Fain will perform at the gallery during the event.

Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. See artdujourgallery.com or call 770-3190.

Bartlett St. A reception for the artists will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. There will be live acoustic music by Ed Rogers and Matt Anlas.

Rogue Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. See roguegallery.org or call 772-8118.
