Dorothy Marie Griffith



Dorothy Marie Griffith, 91, of Central Point, died Tuesday Sept. 18, 2007 at her home. She was born July 15, 1916, in Iron Mountain, Mich. On March 23, 1940, in Hoquiam, Wash., she married Byron Raymond, who preceded her in death. She was a resident of the Rogue Valley since 1944 and a member of the First United Methodist Church.



Dorothy worked for Harry and David Corporation in the bakery from 1950-1988 (38 years).



She enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, and making dolls. She belonged to the Garden Club.



Survivors include her sons, Vernon P. Griffith, of Portland, Ore., and Robert E. Griffith of Central Point, Ore.; a daughter, Diane M. Wolfe, of Hawaii; two sisters, Marian Pryde, of Hoquiam, Wash., and Elaine Getts, of Chicago, Ill.; 13 grandchildren, Debi, tony, Mark, Morgan, Marty, Wendy, Barbara, Kim, Laura, Eric, Robert, Jason, and Jennifer; 20 great-grandchildren, Brandon, Kristina, Kyle, Ryan, Hanna, Brittany, Jonathan, Lissie, Nicholas, Michael, Kayla Shana, Dana, Austin, Conor, Mitchell, Kirby, Casey, Patrina and Natasha; and one great-great-grandchild, Lane.



Food donations go to First United Methodist Church or organization of your choosing.



A memorial service for Dorothy will be held Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 607 W. Main St., Medford. Private family interment has been held at Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
