Two men have been charged for their suspected roles in a home-invasion robbery in February 2006.

Medford police arrested Brandon Michael Robinson, 25, of the 2300 block of East Barnett Road, and Adam David Rutherford, 22, of the 2100 block of Knowles Road, on Sunday.

Both men appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court this week to face first- and second-degree robbery charges.

The investigation is continuing and police continue to look for a third man linked to the robbery reported at about 5 a.m. on Feb. 28, 2006, Medford police Lt. Tim Doney said.

Three men with pantyhose over their heads to obscure their faces came in through an unlocked door of an apartment in the 1100 block of Woodrow Lane, Medford.

They confronted three people in the home, physically assaulting one man with large sticks and a shovel. The three robbers took a safe with cash inside and fled from the home, police reports said.

Investigators recently developed leads on who was involved in the crime, Doney said. On Sunday, officers arrested Robinson at his home and Rutherford during a traffic stop near the intersection of Willamette Avenue and 10th Street. Both were lodged in jail, then released after appearing in court Monday.
