As if it wasn't obvious enough already that summer is gone, the National Weather Service in Medford has issued a frost advisory for Saturday morning.

Forecasters are calling for frost from the foothills of Douglas County to Jackson County and from western Siskiyou County to Eastern Curry County, including Grants Pass, Medford and Ashland.

The advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m. Saturday.

"A cold front passing through the region today will bring cooler temperatures tonight," forecasters said in the advisory, with overnight lows in the low to mid 30s.

And the rain falling around the region this morning?

That should end before noon, the weather service says.

But it will be back Sunday, probably starting in the morning.
