Sacramento Country Day School led at halftime, but the unbeaten Crusaders rallied for a 3-1 victory.

The Cavaliers held a 1-0 halftime advantage on a penalty kick about midway through the first half.

"We came out flat today," St. Mary's coach Paul Coughlin said. "We were a little worn out from the day before."

St. Mary's (6-0-1, 2-0 Dist. 3) was coming off a tough road win against Creswell.

Sophomore striker Keenan Grant evened the score about 10 minutes into the second half on a strong individual effort. Grant busted up the middle past two Cavalier defenders and boomed a shot inside the near post from about six yards out.

Junior midfielder Bay Gross tallied the next two goals for St. Mary's.

SOUTHERN LEAGUE TOURNAMENT — At Eugene, the Medford boys went 2-0 and the girls posted a 2-1 record in the second-day of the event at Amazon Pool on Sunday.

The boys defeated Sheldon 15-8 and Cottage Grove 13-8.

Josh Silver led the Medford attack with 13 goals in the two games and Zach Haveman added three goals in each contest. Goalie Michael Hill recorded 16 saves.

The Medford girls posted an 8-2 win over North Eugene and defeated Sheldon 13-8 before losing to Cottage Grove 10-3.

Nilsa Gibson paced Medford with seven goals, including five against Sheldon, while Chloe Beecher tossed in five shots on the day. Emily Daly registered 17 saves in net during the three games.
