Head back to school — and not in a good way — during the Bad Film Society's "Back to School TV Special" in Ashland tonight.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. in the basement of the Ashland Elks Lodge on East Main Street.

It will feature three television pilots featuring miscast characters, terrible theme songs and alternate realities that didn't quite make it into the Golden Age of mainstream television.

The society also will show "Wild Guitar," a 1962 Beatnik film, and episodes from the 1953 serial "The Lost Planet."

Bring TV dinners to share at a potluck dinner and trashy videos to give away as door prizes.

Visitors should use the Elks Lodge entrance in the alley between East Main Street and Lithia Way. Admission costs $3. Parking is free.
