Judy Costantino, of Ashland, died October 22, 2007, after a long battle of medical challenges.
Our mom was born July 8, 1927 in Des Moines, Iowa, and spent most of her adult life in Southern California. She graduated from UCLA, majoring in art. Judy met her husband, Tony Costantino in a college bowling league. They had two children and were married until 1978 upon her husband's death.
Judy was a wonderful mother and provided lots of love and care to those family members who needed help. In her younger years, she enjoyed horseback riding, a good game of bridge and flying airplanes. She even claimed Howard Hughes propped her plane one time.
Mom moved to Ashland in 2001 and enjoyed the Mountain Meadows Community. She loved to watch her grandsons play soccer and basketball and always enjoyed the ballet with her granddaughter.
Judy is survived by her son, Lynn Costantino and wife Joanne, of Ashland; daughter, Chrisann Salerno and husband Albert, of Alameda, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Corey, Colin, and Mason Costantino and Gina Salerno.
Many thanks to the wonderful medical community of the Rogue Valley.
A celebration of her life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Ashland, on Saturday, October 27, at 11:00 a.m.
