A planetary scientist visits Ashland tonight for a talk titled "The Cosmos and Life: The Greatest Story Ever Told."

Dr. Carolyn Porco, director of mission operations and imaging team leader on the Cassini Saturn Mission of the Space Science Institute in Boulder, Colo., speaks at 7:30 p.m. in Lecture Room 118 of Science Hall on the Southern Oregon University campus, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd.

Cost to attend is $10, although students with ID can get in free.

The event is organized by the Jefferson Center.
