Drivers on Medford's busy Barnett Road will have a new place to stop this morning when the city turns on a new traffic signal.

The signal at the intersection of Barnett and Medical Center Drive is scheduled to go on at 9 a.m. Flaggers are scheduled to be on hand to help guide traffic, according to city officials.

"Motorists should expect delays associated with this work and are advised to seek alternate routes during the turn-on period," said a news release from the city's Public Works department.
