Kendra Jean Ira and Whitney Wayne Madsen were married Aug. 10 at Suburban Christian Church in Corvallis. Pastor Jim Erickson, campus pastor at Montana State University, Northern, officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Jean Ira of Corvallis. A 2002 graduate of North Medford High School, she received a bachelor's degree in nutrition and food management in 2006 from Oregon State University in Corvallis. She is a registered dietitian with Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) in Havre, Mont.

The groom is the son of Wayne and Donna Madsen of Junction City. A 2004 graduate of Junction City High School, he completed an associate's degree at Linn-Benton Community College in 2006, then transferred to Montana State University, Northern, where he is pursuing a bachelor's degree in automotive technology. He is an intern at General Electric Transportation in Havre, Mont.

Matron of honor was the bride's sister-in-law, Carly Ira of Corvallis. Bridesmaids were Jamie Gowins of Corvallis, Kristin Armerding of Hood River, Mary Nelson of Corvallis and Sara Bartlett of Tigard.

Best man was the groom's brother, Kevin Madsen of Junction City. Groomsmen were the bride's brother, Garrett Ira of Corvallis, Robert Kelley of Eugene, Danny Sauter of Portland and Russell Bartlett of Tigard.

Candle lighters were the groom's sisters, Jessica Sulton of Portland and Luann Madsen of Charleston, W.V.

Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the Hanson Country Inn in Corvallis.

After a wedding trip to Cannon Beach, the newlyweds are living in Havre, Mont.
