Travis Temple had a hat trick to lead the River City Jaguars to a 12-3 victory over the Rogue Valley Wranglers at the RRRink on Sunday, completing a sweep of the three-game series between the two NORPAC teams.

Temple opened the scoring with a powerplay goal just 2:02 into the contest and added his second at 9:27 as River City jumped to a 4-0 lead after one period.

The Jaguars (13-4) extended the lead to 8-0 before Nate Schursky scored the first of his two goals late in the second period. Schursk, who also scored shorthanded in the third period, leads the Wranglers (0-16) with 12 goals this season. David Giguere scored his eighth of the season for the Wranglers, while Duston Fender added two assists.

Penalties again hurt the Wranglers as River City scored four times in 16 attempts with the man advantage. Rogue Valley was 0 for 13 on the power play.

River City outshot the Wranglers 79-24.

The Wranglers return to action on Friday, opening a two-game series with the Tri-City Titans at the RRRink.
