Two men are lodged in Jackson County Jail this morning after a west Medford market was burglarized early today.

James Robert Bennett, 26, and Damion Michael Bevilacqua, 29, neither with an address listed, were charged with two counts each of second-degree burglary and one count each of second-degree theft.

Police responded to a burglar alarm at the Thrifty Nifty Market in the 200 block of west Jackson Street at 1:21 a.m. When they arrived, they saw two men running from the back of the store, said Lt. Tim Doney.

Officers brought in police dog Rudi to search the area and found Bevilacqua hiding in the back yard of a home on Haven Street and Bennett on a nearby rooftop, said Doney.

He said officers also found items taken from the market.
