THE DETAILS: This GPS gizmo from Sony helps shutterbugs pin down the exact location of their digital snapshots. The device, which is 31/2; inches long and weighs two ounces, can be clipped anywhere (it doesn't get inserted into the camera) and uses satellites to record geographic coordinates every 15 seconds. The unit stores 360 hours worth of GPS data. Users download the data to their computers via USB cable (photos are downloaded from the camera separately), and special software included with the device synchronizes the time stamps on the photos with the latitude, longitude and time readings from the GPS device. The software includes an Internet browser that lets users plot photo locations on Google Maps.
